Overview:Pediatric Specialty Care (PSC) has an exciting
opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN). We are
seeking a Regional Clinical Consultant to join our PSC Leadership
team.Regional Clinical Consultant (RN) Position Overview:The
Regional Clinical Consultant assists the organization in the
planning, organizing, developing, and directing the staff
development and skill competency of the Nursing, Respiratory and
all clinical Departments in accordance with current federal, state,
and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the
PSC facilities, and as may be directed by PSC Leadership to ensure
that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all

Consultant (RN):Acquires knowledge of organizational goals,
objectives, policies, procedures as well as Federal, State and
Local Regulations.Maintains goals and objectives for quality
resident care consistent with facility and corporate goals and
objectives.Leads and assists, in collaboration with the CNO, the
planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and
directing the staff development functions of the Clinical
Departments.Assists in implementing organizational and department
orientation, working cooperatively as the staff development lead to
ensure comprehensive on boarding of new employees.Analyzes and
evaluates nursing care provided by nursing staff. Assure that
standards of nursing practice are of the highest quality consistent
with standard of professional practice and in accordance with the
Nursing Practice Act, and organizational standards, recommending
changes/improvements as needed.Works closely with the Directors of
Nursing, Assistant Directors of Nursing and leadership team,
assessing the on-going learning needs of employees in order to meet
the needs of residents, the organization and the employees.Serves
as a mentor and resource to Assistant Directors of
Nursing/Educators in planning, developing, and implementing
educational and training materials and programs.Develops and
maintains all educational and training materials, including those
in the electronic education portal, and hardcopy handbooks,
presentations and tools.Facilitates development and periodic review
of family training materials and resources to assure they reflect
current practice standards.Collaborates with the leadership team
and human resources to assure that staff educational requirements
are met and maintained, making written and oral reports to the
leadership team as necessary/required.Participates in developing,
maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures of the
nursing and clinical departments in conjunction with the
appropriate PSC policy, practice and quality committees. Leads and
participates in education and clinical practice committees to
assure staff education of clinical practice guidelines and
standards.Periodically reviews the internal Quality plan and
indicators of the clinical departments. Participates in Quality
Assurance programs, and any other organizational committees or
programs, which seeks to improve the performance and quality of
resident care.Develops and maintains a good working rapport with
inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within
the organization, to ensure that services and activities can be
adequately maintained to meet the needs of the
residents.Participates in own employee evaluation and development,
determining professional growth needs and goals.Arrives to work on
time, regularly, and works as scheduled.Recognizes and follows the
dress code of the facility including wearing name tag at all
times.Follows policy and procedure regarding all electronic
devices, computers, tablets, etc.Supports and abides by Pediatric
Specialty Care's Mission, Vision, and Values.Abides by Pediatric
Specialty Care's businesses code of conduct, compliance and HIPAA
policies.Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor,
management staff or Administrator.Qualifications:Regional Clinical
Consultant (RN):Must possess, as a minimum, a Baccalaureate degree
in Nursing from an accredited school; Master's degree in Nursing or
Education preferred.Must possess a current, unencumbered, active
license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.Must
have, as a minimum, 5 years of experience in an educational or
leadership role in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other
related health care facility.Working knowledge of the complex needs
of pediatric long-term care, the principles of education,
management, leadership, organizational behavior and structure, and
communication systems.Demonstrated proficiency in various computer
applications, programs and electronic medical records.Valid,
current BLS/CPR certification requiredSkills/CompetenciesMust
possess the ability to work independently or as part of a
group.Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
