Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental
Compliance Intern to join our team. In this role, you will assist
with site monitoring, environmental restoration projects, and
outdoor product development trials. You will work closely with the
environmental compliance team to ensure we meet all regulatory
requirements and maintain up-to-date documentation. This internship
offers hands-on experience in environmental compliance, site
restoration, and data management, ideal for individuals looking to
grow their career in environmental science or sustainability.
Primary Responsibilities: Assist with site monitoring to ensure
compliance with environmental regulations Support environmental
restoration projects by helping with planning, execution, and
reporting Update environmental compliance data in our digital
database for efficient document storage and retrieval Assist with
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); reflect new permit monitoring
requirements and changes in regulations Collaborate with team
members with the product development group. This individual will
plant, monitor & collect date, and harvest site raised bed trials
Help with research on best practices for environmental compliance
and restoration methods Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements Pursuing a degree in Environmental Science,
Environmental Engineering, Biology, or a related field Strong
interest in environmental compliance, restoration, and
sustainability practices Familiarity with environmental regulations
and permitting processes is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Comfortable working with digital
databases and learning new software tools Strong organizational
skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both
written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a
team Highly organized with a can-do attitude and able to problem
solve, multi-task and prioritize Able to communicate effectively
and exhibits good team skills and respect the inherent worth of and
respect for fellow employees Passion for sustainability and
environmental responsibility; gardening experience beneficial
