Job Title: R&D Manager Location: North Central Pennsylvania Pay Range: $110,000 - $140,000 bonus Our client, a leading organization in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a R&D Manager to join their team. As a R&D Manager, you will be part of the Research and Development department supporting product innovation, process improvement, and commercialization efforts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, innovative thinking, and a passion for food science, which will align successfully in the organization. What's the Job? Lead a team of food scientists to develop and commercialize new shelf-stable Italian meals and sauces. Oversee product development from concept through launch, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Drive innovation by monitoring food trends, consumer insights, and competitive products. Partner with manufacturing to optimize formulations, reduce costs, and improve processing methods. Manage project timelines, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful product launches. What's Needed? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Science, Food Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of R&D experience in the food manufacturing industry, with a focus on Italian cuisine or similar product lines. Proven experience taking products from concept to commercialization in a USDA/FDA-regulated environment. Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, thermal processing, and food safety protocols. Experience leading technical teams and managing cross-functional projects. What's in it for me?
